ZAC Mbao : le livreur disparaît avec 2,5 millions F CFA et accuse un « hypnotiseur »
Mr. Niane, a 32-year-old delivery driver residing in the ZAC Mbao district, was sentenced by the court to six months in prison, one of which is a mandatory sentence, for breach of trust against his employer, L. Ndiaye, manager of a general store. The defendant will also have to pay 2 million CFA francs in damages to the plaintiff, reports L'Observateur, which attended the trial.
Tasked with depositing 2.5 million at the bank around 11 a.m., the delivery driver became unreachable after leaving work. He was only found several hours later, sleeping at his parents' home, according to the same source. To explain the disappearance of the money, Mr. Niane offered a rather far-fetched version of events in court: a stranger had allegedly "hypnotized" him after asking for his phone, before leaving with the money he was carrying in a bag, his motorcycle, and his camera.
This version of events was rejected by the plaintiff, who called it a "grotesque fabrication." The newspaper, part of the Futurs Médias Group, also reported that an examination of the defendant's Orange Money account revealed two deposits made on the same day, totaling 900,000 FCFA. This finding reinforced the manager's suspicions, as he claims to have regularly entrusted payments to the delivery driver without any similar incident occurring before.
Of the 2.5 million FCFA entrusted to the defendant, 900,000 FCFA was repaid before the trial, leaving a balance of 1.6 million FCFA. The plaintiff, however, was claiming 2 million FCFA in compensation for all damages.
The prosecutor had requested a two-month prison sentence, reports L'Observateur.

C’est extrêmement dur à accepter, mais je ne vois pas d’autres explications. Pointer du doigt nos dirigeants ou les Occidentaux ne suffit plus à tout expliquer.
