Zac Mbao : un agent municipal de Guédiawaye retrouvé mort à son domicile
The lifeless body of Mr. Diawara, an administrative officer for the City of Guédiawaye, was discovered this Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home in the Satar neighborhood of Zac Mbao. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of his death.
The alert and the discovery of the body
Around 1 p.m., the Zac Mbao district police station was notified of the discovery of a body in a house in the Cité Satar neighborhood. An on-site visit by investigators allowed them to identify the victim as Mr. Diawara, 46 years old, an administrative officer for the City of Guédiawaye.
The body was found lying in the bathroom of her room. The victim was curled up, covered with a towel, and drool was coming from her mouth. No apparent injuries were found on the body.
The circumstances of the discovery
According to explanations gathered from D. Diatta, the housekeeper and first person to discover the body, it was the deceased's wife, currently living in the United States, who alerted her. The wife had told her that she hadn't been able to reach her husband since the previous night.
D. Diatta rushed to the scene that same day, around 11:00 AM, from Ngékhokh. Upon arriving at the house, she knocked on the door but received no answer. Faced with this lack of response, she sought help from A. Diop, the deceased's personal driver. The two then entered the house through the emergency exit, discovering the lifeless body of Mr. Diawara.
Also present at the scene was Dr. CS Diop, head physician of the Cambérène hospital, who was both the deceased's son-in-law and attending physician. According to his statements, Mr. Diawara was diabetic.
According to information gathered, the deceased had been living alone in this house since his return from France a week earlier. His wife and children reside abroad.
The on-site investigation concluded without incident. A request was issued by the competent authorities to determine the exact cause of Mr. Diawara's death. An inquiry has been opened, and the public prosecutor has been notified of the case.
