Ziarra of Darah Halayba: The delegation of the Head of State announces a tour to inquire about local realities

The commune of Dodel vibrated to the rhythm of the traditional Ziarra of Darah Halayba, which was held in the presence of several administrative and local authorities of the department of Podor.

At this major religious gathering, the President of the Republic was represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock, Cheikh Omar Ba, and by the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Dr. Cheikh Tidiane Dièye. Several other dignitaries and local officials from the department also attended the ceremony.

Carrying the President's message, government emissaries announced that a tour of the area will soon take place. The objective is to gain firsthand knowledge of the local realities, to directly assess the difficulties faced by the population, and to identify, in consultation with stakeholders on the ground, the priority solutions to be implemented.

This local approach should allow the authorities to better understand the socio-economic emergencies of the municipality of Dodel and surrounding localities, particularly in key sectors of rural development.

In his address, the Khalifa of Darah Halayba expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic and the entire government delegation for their presence. He used this opportunity to urge the authorities to pay closer attention to the concerns of the region and to strengthen support for the local population.

While advocating for better consideration of the essential needs of his locality, the religious leader welcomed the political will shown by the State to go into the field to concretely appreciate the daily lives of citizens.

The Ziarra concluded in an atmosphere of fervor and religious communion, marking an important step in the dialogue between the central government and the communities of the Podor department.
