The sequence of events
According to the initial statements of the two drivers and the victim, O. GNAMADIO was travelling on Fahd Abdel Aziz Avenue, coming from the EMG roundabout and heading towards Front de Terre, with K. BOIRAU in the back.
Near the water intake area, B. TAMBIDOU, driving his taxi, made a maneuver that cut off the moped. A verbal altercation then broke out between the two drivers. During this exchange, O. GNAMADIO deliberately smashed the taxi's windshield with a rock and then fled the scene.
In response, the driver gave chase for several dozen meters. Reaching the moped, he deliberately rammed it, knocking its two occupants onto the road. The fall caused injuries to the female passenger.
Emergency services evacuated K. BOIRAU to the Idrissa Pouye General Hospital (HOGIP) in Grand Yoff. She received the necessary emergency care there before being discharged, subject to further consultations by appointment.
The taxi and the moped were impounded and immobilized on the premises of the service. The two drivers were taken to the police station, where they were briefly questioned.
O. GNAMADIO is being prosecuted for willful destruction of private property, driving without a license, and driving without insurance. B. TAMBIDOU is being prosecuted for assault and battery with a weapon by nature (the motor vehicle), endangering the lives of others, and failing to maintain control of his vehicle.
