The legal case involving Achraf Hakimi continues to unfold. The investigating chamber of the Versailles Court of Appeal has upheld the referral of the Moroccan international defender to the Hauts-de-Seine departmental criminal court, where he will face rape charges.

Shortly after this decision, the PSG player broke his silence by posting a lengthy message on his social media account. In it, he denounces a procedure he considers unfair and affirms that he has always trusted the justice system. Hakimi states that he now awaits his trial calmly, convinced that he will finally be able to present his side of the story.

That evening, his lawyer, Fanny Colin, spoke on BFM TV. She discussed the potential role of Kylian Mbappé, a close friend of the Moroccan player, during the trial. According to her, the French striker should be called to testify.

The lawyer specifically mentioned Mbappé's 2023 hearing. According to her, some of the former Paris Saint-Germain player's statements were misinterpreted by the investigating judge. The Real Madrid player explained that Achraf Hakimi had told him there had been mutual kissing and caressing, without any objection from the young woman, and that there had never been any question of digital penetration.

However, lawyer Fanny Colin believes that these statements were distorted during the investigation. She asserts that Kylian Mbappé recently provided a statement to clarify his remarks and specify that he never intended to imply that his former teammate admitted to the allegations against him.

"Mr. Mbappé explained that his remarks had been misunderstood and did not reflect what he meant. I think he will naturally be called as a witness during the trial," the lawyer said.
