Germany: Antonio Rüdiger announces the end of his time with the German national team

A chapter closes for Antonio Rüdiger with the German national team. At 33, the Real Madrid centre-back has reportedly decided to end his international career after more than ten years playing for the Mannschaft.

According to Marca, Rüdiger has chosen to no longer respond to call-ups to the national team. This decision reportedly matured after the last World Cup and is linked to his desire to now dedicate all his energy to his club career.

After numerous international campaigns, the German defender also believes the time has come to pass the torch to a new generation. The Mannschaft, now managed by Jürgen Klopp, is therefore expected to continue its rebuilding process with new faces in defense.

Rüdiger now wants to focus on Real Madrid.

This decision allows Antonio Rüdiger to fully dedicate himself to Real Madrid. The Madrid defender intends to use this new chapter to regain his form and continue playing a key role at the Spanish club.

Under José Mourinho's guidance, the German international has reportedly regained a prominent role in Real Madrid's sporting project. The Portuguese manager is said to have great faith in him and is counting on his experience and character to lead the Madrid defense.

Now free from the constraints of the international calendar, Rüdiger wants to focus on Real Madrid's objectives. As the new season approaches, the 33-year-old defender aims to continue his journey with the Spanish club and contribute to winning more trophies.
