Allemagne: mené deux fois, le Bayern arrache le nul à Augsbourg (2-2)
Bayern Munich snatched a draw at Augsburg (2-2) after twice being behind on Saturday afternoon in the 5th round of the German championship, and missed the opportunity to regain the top spot in the standings.
With 11 points on the board (three wins, two draws), Bayern are two points behind Borussia Dortmund, who were held to a draw at home on Friday night by Werder Bremen (2-2) after leading 2-0 in the 85th minute.
Freiburg (10 points) will have the opportunity on Sunday (5:30 pm) to move ahead of BVB if they win at home against newly promoted Schalke 04, in the closing match of the 5th day of the Bundesliga.
On Saturday, Bayern Munich twice fell behind. The first time came after just 8.4 seconds of play, conceding the fastest goal in Bundesliga history. A major error in distribution by Manuel Neuer allowed Robin Fellhauer to open the scoring for Augsburg.
After Ismael Saibari's equalizer (55th minute), Augsburg regained the lead less than ten minutes later thanks to Rodrigo Ribeiro, following a shot from Calvin Brackelmann that Manuel Neuer failed to parry. But Bayern Munich leveled the score again through Nathaniel Brown ten minutes from time (80th minute).
Bayern, who had four goals disallowed for offside positions, can take solace in a 29th consecutive away game in the Bundesliga without defeat, the last one dating back to December 14, 2024 in Mainz (2-1).
On Monday, the Munich team will head to Stavanger in southern Norway to face Viking on Tuesday (9pm) for their second Champions League match.
