Ama Baldé : « Battre Lac 2 va me permettre de retrouver ma place »
Ama Baldé explained the reasons that led him to accept the duel against Lac de Guiers 2. After a long period away from the arena, the wrestler from Pikine sees this fight as an important step in his desire to regain his place among the leading figures of Senegalese wrestling.
“I accepted this fight because wrestling is my livelihood. I had a setback in the arena and, to regain my place, I had to face Lac de Guiers 2. Beating him will allow me to regain my place,” said Ama Baldé.
The Pikine native also seems unconcerned by Lac 2's statements, who is displaying confidence before the fight. For Ama Baldé, it's perfectly normal that his opponent is determined to secure the victory.
Highly anticipated by Pikine supporters, Ama Baldé is well aware of the pressure surrounding this match. He acknowledges knowing his team's expectations and intends to meet them with a victory.
"I know what Pikine expects of me. They want this victory and are counting on me," he said.
The wrestler also harbors great ambitions for the rest of his career. According to him, his journey should have already led him to the title of King of the Arena. But far from giving up on this goal, he believes his coronation has simply been delayed.
"Right now, I should already be king of the arenas. That was their prediction, but it's only a matter of time," he stated.
After several months without fighting, Ama Baldé says he used this time to step back and reflect on the future of his career. This introspection, he says, allowed him to better define his ambitions and the direction he now wants to take.
"I went a long time without fighting and this period allowed me to reflect deeply on who I am and where I want to go," concluded the wrestler from Pikine.
