Amical: Le Sénégal s’impose face aux Comores
Senegal did what was necessary. Facing Comoros in a friendly match, the Lions won by the narrowest of margins (1-0), thanks to a goal from Iliman Ndiaye scored in the 5th minute.
From the outset, Patrick Vieira's men displayed improved attacking intent. More enterprising and cohesive than in their first two matches under the French coach, the Lions quickly took control of the game. This strong start was rewarded with the opening goal from Iliman Ndiaye.
After that early goal, Senegal continued to dominate possession and dictate the tempo. But this dominance gradually became fruitless. Despite controlling the game overall, the Lions struggled to be clinical enough in front of goal.
With more realism and precision in the final pass, Senegal could have secured the win much earlier and avoided letting Comoros keep hope alive until the final whistle.
The Lions, however, showed more control and fluidity in their play, while also revealing areas for improvement, particularly in their ability to capitalize on their strong moments.
