Angleterre: Tottenham, à dix, ramène un point de Manchester United (1-1)
Tottenham, playing with ten men against eleven, salvaged a point in stoppage time at Manchester United (1-1), allowing them to move out of last place after six matchdays.
Roberto De Zerbi's team, in the relegation zone (18th, 3 points), has still not won this season in the Premier League, despite a very expensive transfer window during the summer.
But they had the merit of equalizing through their captain for the day, Dominic Solanke (90th+2, 1-1), despite being a numerical disadvantage since the 79th minute and the expulsion of Rodrigo Bentancur for a gesture of temper.
Completely dominated in the first half, Manchester United nevertheless recovered in the second half and opened the scoring through Bryan Mbeumo (73rd, 1-0).
Michael Carrick's Red Devils finished the game to boos from Old Trafford and in twelfth place in the league, with six points.
They could have experienced an even more dramatic Saturday if Tottenham had converted their numerous opportunities: a shot from Solanke blocked by Senne Lammens (3rd), another from Savinho saved by Luke Shaw (50th), and off-target attempts from Mohammed Kudus (21st) and Solanke (51st).
The Spurs, persistent, finally managed to find the back of the net with a cross from Sandro Tonali headed in by Solanke, in a duel with Lisandro Martinez.
