Angola : Aliou Cissé signe sa première victoire avec les Palancas Negras
Aliou Cissé secured his first victory as manager of the Angolan national team. After a frustrating draw against Mauritania (1-1) on June 5th, the Palancas Negras responded brilliantly with a resounding 3-0 win against the Central African Republic in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Having taken over as Angolan coach a month ago, following his departure from the Libyan national team, the former Senegal manager had a mixed start. In his first match, Angola conceded a late equalizer to Mauritania, resulting in a disappointing draw.
For their second match of this international window, Angola faced the Central African Republic in Casablanca. The Palancas Negras handled the game perfectly.
The Senegalese coach's men quickly took the lead through Depú in the 7th minute. Mabulu then doubled the score in the 26th minute, before Ary Papel sealed the Angolan victory in the 79th minute.
With this convincing victory, Aliou Cissé has truly launched his tenure as Angola's manager. This gives him ample reason to be optimistic ahead of the upcoming international fixtures, where the Palancas Negras will attempt to build on the progress seen under the Senegalese coach's guidance.
