Boucotte Ouoloff (Oussouye) : Détection de jeunes talents pour renforcer l’équipe nationale de lutte
The future of Senegalese wrestling lies in Boucotte Ouoloff. Since yesterday, this town in the Oussouye department has been hosting a talent identification program for young male and female wrestlers specializing in Olympic and beach wrestling. Organized by the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) in collaboration with the Ziguinchor Regional Wrestling League, this initiative is bringing together clubs from the departments of Ziguinchor, Bignona, and Oussouye.
The presence of the FSL president, Bira Sène, the vice-president in charge of Olympic wrestling, the vice-president of beach wrestling and the national technical director reflects the desire of the governing bodies to build a solid next generation and give new impetus to these disciplines.
Over two days, the young wrestlers are assessed on their technical, physical, and tactical abilities. Each performance is scrutinized to identify those with the potential to join the national team and represent Senegal in international competitions.
Beyond the selection process, this initiative is part of a sustainable development strategy. It aims to strengthen the talent base, structure the practice of Olympic and beach wrestling, and offer young people a genuine opportunity for a sports career.
Boucotte Ouoloff thus becomes a powerful symbol: that of a mobilized youth, attentive guidance and a federation determined to consolidate Senegal's place on the world stage.
This event is not just a sporting occasion, but a promise for the future of Senegalese wrestling.
