Championnat d’Espagne de basket : Brancou Badio champion avec Valence
Senegalese international El Hadji Oumar Brancou Badio added another title to his list of achievements by winning the Spanish league championship with Valencia. The Valencian club secured the second national title in its history by defeating FC Barcelona three wins to one in the playoff final.

After a spectacular defeat in the first game (113-112), Valencia completely reversed the trend. The Valencians won the next three games (102-75, 88-80 and 108-84), concluding the series authoritatively to claim the trophy.
In the fourth game, Brancou Badio made a significant contribution to his team's victory. In 23 minutes of play, the Senegalese point guard scored 6 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished out 2 assists, confirming his importance in Valencia's rotation.
This title crowns an exceptional season for the Spanish club, marked in particular by its return to the EuroLeague. For Brancou Badio, this achievement also rewards a successful season during which he established himself as one of the key players on the Valencia roster.
The Spanish champion is now expected to join the Senegalese national team to participate in the Lions' preparation for the third window of the FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifiers. This qualifying phase will take place in Dakar, from July 2 to 5, with the objective of bringing Senegal closer to another participation in the World Cup.
