Coupe du monde 2026 : l’Espagne surclasse l’Arabie saoudite
After their disappointing start against Cape Verde (0-0), Spain bounced back perfectly on the second day of Group H. La Roja largely dominated Saudi Arabia (4-0).
True to their possession-based style of play, the Spanish quickly took control of the match. This dominance materialized as early as the 10th minute thanks to Lamine Yamal, who opened the scoring with an assist from Mikel Oyarzabal.
In the 21st minute, taking advantage of a scramble in the box, Oyarzabal doubled the lead. Three minutes later, the Spanish striker finished off a superb team move to complete his brace and make it 3-0.
In the second half, despite the substitutions of Lamine Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal, Spain continued to pose a threat. In the 49th minute, Marc Cucurella attempted a volley that was parried by the Saudi goalkeeper, rebounding off defender Hassan Al Tambakti for an own goal.
Thanks to their technical mastery and collective dominance, Spain logically won 4-0 against Saudi Arabia and truly launched their World Cup campaign.
