Coupe du monde féminine U20 : l’Argentine atomise le Bénin
Three days after their promising draw against Mexico (2-2), Benin were expected to confirm their form. But the young Beninese women completely missed the mark, suffering a heavy defeat (8-0) against Argentina.
In a one-sided match, the young Argentinians quickly displayed their superiority. Annika Paz was the great tormentor of the Beninese, scoring four goals (45+7th, 48th, 60th and 66th).
With this resounding victory, Argentina, who began the competition with a 3-0 defeat against Poland, are back in contention for qualification to the second round. As for Benin, they must show a different side of themselves against Poland on Friday to salvage some pride.
