Cristiano Ronaldo is in turmoil. After his premature departure from the Portuguese national team camp amid tensions with Jorge Jesus, the Al-Nassr striker has been suspended. The length of his suspension remains to be determined and could be as long as six months.

The situation has taken a new turn for Cristiano Ronaldo. According to the British newspaper Mirror, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been suspended after leaving Portugal's training camp in Copenhagen at the end of September. The reason is a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus regarding his playing time, particularly after he was left on the bench during the victory against Norway.

Frustrated by the situation, the Portuguese captain felt that his coach had not kept his promise to publicly explain his decision. The disagreement ultimately led the player to leave the squad before the end of the training camp.

Aware of the impact of his actions, Ronaldo subsequently apologized to his teammates and the fans. He also acknowledged that his status as captain imposed a particular responsibility on him, while maintaining his version of events.

A penalty of up to six months

According to reports in the British press, the suspension was automatically triggered in accordance with federal regulations. A disciplinary board must now determine the exact length of the sanction, which could range from one to six months.

Despite this setback, Cristiano Ronaldo has not given up on continuing his journey with the Portuguese national team. Portugal's all-time leading scorer is eager to rejoin his teammates after serving his suspension.

It now remains to be seen what the final decision of the Portuguese authorities will be. At 41, CR7 finds himself in a delicate situation, as his international future continues to raise many questions.
