Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and another Real Madrid player are at the center of a controversy in Spain after partially concealing a message of support for the inhabitants of Ceuta, a Spanish enclave located north of Morocco and facing a major migration crisis for several weeks.

For the past few days, La Liga clubs have been showing their solidarity with the people of Ceuta through various initiatives. Among them is the wearing, before matches, of t-shirts bearing a message of support for the inhabitants of the enclave.

Before the kick-off of the match between Real Madrid and Elche, the players of both teams had to wear a t-shirt displaying the slogan: "Todos somos caballas (We are all caballas)", in reference to the nickname given to the inhabitants of Ceuta.

While all the Real Madrid players wore the t-shirt, three of them chose to pull it up under their armpits, thus obscuring part of the message. Among them were Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior, as well as a third Real Madrid player.

This gesture did not go unnoticed in Spain. While the match was taking place on the field, the attitude of the three players quickly sparked reactions in the press and on social media.

So far, none of the players involved have publicly spoken out to explain the reasons for this choice.

According to the Spanish sports press, Real Madrid, for its part, respected the decision of its players, considering that they could not be forced to display the message in its entirety.

Vini Jr, Mbappé and Konaté never entered their camp dress in their shirt and arrived in Ceuta.
