Football : l’Espagne signe une série historique
Spain continues to impress on the international stage. La Roja once again demonstrated their technical mastery by comfortably defeating Croatia (4-1), with a particularly noteworthy performance from Lamine Yamal.
Beyond the victory itself, this match allows the Spanish national team to write a new chapter in football history. With this success, Spain extends its unbeaten run to 40 matches, an exceptional streak that constitutes a historic record for a national team.
This impressive run of form began in March 2024, the date of Spain's last officially recorded defeat, against Colombia (0-1) in a friendly match. Since then, La Roja has strung together a series of impressive performances, including a European Championship title and a World Cup victory.
One clarification is necessary, however: Spain did lose a Nations League final to Portugal during this period. But that match ended in a penalty shootout after a draw, and a penalty shootout defeat is not counted as a loss in the official statistics of matches without defeat.
With this new victory against Croatia, Spain continues its historic run and confirms its status as a benchmark in international football.
