France: Kylian Mbappé crowned Onze d'Or for best player of the 2025-2026 season

One week before the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, Kylian Mbappé has earned another individual accolade. The Real Madrid striker has been named the best player of the 2025-2026 season by readers of the French magazine "Onze Mondial," who awarded him the prestigious Onze d'Or.

The captain of the French team won the votes by a wide margin with 48.2% of the votes, ahead of the Portuguese João Neves, credited with 11.9%, and the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who received 10.8% of the votes.

This award recognizes the performances of the Madrid striker, who distinguished himself with his attacking efficiency throughout the season. Mbappé notably finished as top scorer in both the Champions League and La Liga, confirming his status as a benchmark among world football strikers.

The French international also made a strong impression at the 2026 World Cup, where he won the Golden Boot (10 goals) and set a new goalscoring record in the history of the competition.

This is the first time in his career that Kylian Mbappé has won the Onze d'Or. This prestigious award adds to his individual achievements and allows him to approach the next Ballon d'Or ceremony with another accolade.
