Ghana : Iñaki Williams met un terme à sa carrière internationale
It's the end of an important chapter for Iñaki Williams. The Athletic Bilbao striker has announced his decision to retire from international football and will therefore no longer wear the Black Stars jersey of Ghana.

At 32, the player leaves the Ghanaian national team after 28 appearances and two goals. His time with the Black Stars was notably marked by participation in two World Cups and one Africa Cup of Nations.
“I feel the time has come to end my journey with the Ghanaian national team,” Williams said. The striker says he is leaving the national team with a sense of accomplishment, proud to have represented his country.
Beyond the statistics and the competitions played, this experience has above all allowed the player to reconnect more deeply with his Ghanaian roots. "Ghana has given me much more than football. It has allowed me to return home, to feel even closer to my roots and to feel the immense pride of representing my country," he confided.
Iñaki Williams also expressed his gratitude to Ghanaian fans for their support and affection throughout his time with the national team. Despite his international retirement, he promised to continue following and supporting the Black Stars.
“Ghana will always be a part of me. I will continue to support the Black Stars as one of your own, wherever I am. Medaase. Always Ghana,” concluded the Athletic Bilbao striker.
