Iliman Ndiaye : ce qu’il doit apprendre de Sadio Mané
Six weeks after his £65 million (approximately 50.8 billion CFA francs) move to Manchester City, Iliman Ndiaye is still alternating between flashes of brilliance and inconsistencies. L'Observateur examines the contrasting start of the Senegalese international, who faces fierce competition within the Manchester City squad. "Reined in by Enzo Maresca, praised by Erling Haaland, and noticed against PSG," the winger continues his apprenticeship at the highest level.
Beyond his adaptation at club level, his role within the Senegalese national team is also generating expectations. In an interview with the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias, coach Malick Diop believes that Ndiaye has the potential to become the Lions' attacking leader, provided he doesn't try to imitate Sadio Mané. "Iliman Ndiaye possesses the qualities to become the Lions' attacking leader, but he absolutely must not try to become a copy of him," he emphasized.
The coach nevertheless advises him to draw inspiration from his predecessor in certain aspects: "aggressiveness in deep runs, influence off the ball, and responsibility in big matches." Both at club and international level, the challenge now is to translate his talent into decisive performances and to establish himself consistently at the highest level.
