La CAF confirme le retour à une CAN tous les deux ans
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially decided to reinstate the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as a biennial tournament. The decision was unanimously adopted by its Executive Committee on Thursday.
This change comes after the review of the reform announced last year, which provided for a move to a four-year cycle, with the introduction of a new competition called the "Nations League".
CAF President Patrice Motsepe justified this return by the need to preserve the interests of African football and to guarantee sufficient financial resources for the development of continental competitions.
The next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations will take place in 2027 in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Subsequent editions are scheduled for 2028, 2031, and 2033, notably to avoid clashes with the 2030 World Cup.
With this decision, CAF reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the AFCON as one of the major events in world football and a driver of the development of African football.

Il ne fallait même pas penser à cette idée de 4 ans, complétement ridicule et insensée
