Liga espagnole : le Barça en mode rouleau compresseur
Nine matches, nine wins! FC Barcelona continues its impressive run in La Liga. Playing away in Andalusia, the Catalan club dominated Real Betis (2-5), thus confirming its excellent momentum.
Lamine Yamal gave Barcelona the lead in the 10th minute with a superb curling shot. But Sevilla responded in the 27th minute through Valentín Gómez, who leveled the score.
Dominating possession, Barça regained the lead just before halftime. From a corner, Rodri headed home in the 41st minute.
Upon returning from the locker room, Gabriel Jesus, perfectly set up by Lamine Yamal, extended the lead in the 51st minute. Despite Abde Ezzalzouli, a former Barça player, pulling a goal back two minutes later (53rd minute), the Catalans quickly regained their advantage.
Eric Garcia, in the 62nd minute, then Dani Olmo, in the 81st, definitively sealed the fate of the match by scoring Barcelona's fourth and fifth goals.
With this ninth consecutive victory, FC Barcelona (1st, 27pts) consolidates its position as leader of La Liga and now has a nine-point lead over Real Madrid, who host FC Sevilla on Sunday.
