La Liga: Coach Hansi Flick's comments on José Mourinho ahead of El Clásico

It's the most anticipated match of the La Liga season. Real Madrid faces FC Barcelona tomorrow, Sunday, October 25th, at the Camp Nou. A Clásico that promises to live up to all expectations, given the form of both teams.

In the post-match press conference, Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana coach, declared that his players were ready to take on their Merengue rivals.

"This is the most beautiful match this sport can offer."

“El Clásico is different. It’s the most beautiful match this sport can offer. The whole world, millions of people, have their eyes glued to this game. People from different cultures and generations… It’s only three points, but it’s so much more. It’s fantastic. My team knows how to play. We are ready. I have faith in my team,” said the German coach, before heaping praise on Real Madrid coach José Mourinho.

"The players have nothing but praise for him."

“I have enormous respect for him. When you manage teams of this caliber and achieve such a level of success, …you’re talking about quality. Mourinho has demonstrated his quality at every club he has coached. He is an excellent colleague. I visited him when I was managing the German national team. The players have nothing but praise for him,” said Hansi Flick.

When asked about the threat posed by Mbappé, the German coach indicated that they simply need to defend well. "The important thing is to position ourselves well with and without the ball. And to maintain good spacing between the players, to press the ball carrier. If we do everything correctly, it will be easy to defend against Real Madrid's attacks. Cubarsi and Gerard Martin are playing very well. What they're doing is incredible. They're progressing together."

"I am very happy," said the coach of the Catalan club.
