Ligue des Champions (2e tour préliminaire) : Teungueth FC en quête d’une bonne option face à la Colombe Sportive
Teungueth FC embarks on a new continental challenge. The Rufisque-based club hosts Colombe Sportive of Cameroon this Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium in Dakar, for the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. The Senegalese side's objective is clear: to win at home in order to travel to Cameroon with a significant advantage.
After progressing through the first round by eliminating FC Cantchurn of Guinea-Bissau, Teungueth FC is moving closer to a potential qualification for the group stage. But before dreaming bigger, the Rufisque-based team will have to overcome Cameroon, an opponent that also demonstrated its ambitions by eliminating Stade Malien in the previous round.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Malick Daf's men will need to take the lead in this first match. A victory, ideally with a comfortable margin, would allow them to travel with greater confidence for the return leg, scheduled between October 23 and 25 in Cameroon.
For their part, Colombe Sportive have no intention of traveling to Dakar as easy prey. Having secured a victory against Stade Malien, the Cameroonian side will be looking to achieve a positive result to maintain their chances before hosting the Senegalese team.
This first leg is therefore crucial for both teams, who are aiming to continue their journey in Africa's premier football competition. For Teungueth FC, the challenge will be to convert their home advantage into a positive result before a trip to Cameroon that promises to be perilous.
