Ligue des Champions : Teungueth FC éliminé
The challenge proved too great for Teungueth FC. Having lost 2-0 in the first leg in Dakar, the Rufisque-based team failed to repeat the feat in Cameroon. Worse still, they suffered another defeat, this time 1-0, against Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo.
The Cameroonians quickly dashed Senegal's hopes by opening the scoring in the 3rd minute. Despite their efforts, Malick Daf's men were unable to turn the tide.
With this second defeat in as many matches, the Rufisque club leaves the African Champions League and sees its dream of playing in the group stage of this prestigious and lucrative competition vanish.
