Lutte : deux sponsors menacent de quitter l'arène à cause de...
According to Record's revelations, two leading sponsors are threatening to withdraw permanently from Senegalese wrestling if the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) does not impose exemplary sanctions following the recent misconduct of Reug Reug and Prince.
According to the sports daily, while the arena had experienced a resurgence in popularity with the return of major brands like Canal+ and Orange, these partners now refuse to associate their image with behaviors they consider contrary to their values, particularly violence and animal abuse. They deem the sanction imposed on Reug Reug, suspended for six months, three of which were firm, following the incident involving kittens mistreated during his fight against Boy Niang 2, to be insufficient.
The case of Prince, whose attitude after his defeat against Lac de Guiers 2 also caused shock, reinforced the discontent of the advertisers.
In this context, the specialized newspaper points out, the FSL is under intense pressure. President Bira Sène and his team are under intense scrutiny, as Prince has already been heard by the disciplinary committee and the final decision is now being closely watched by financial partners who are threatening to withdraw their support.
