Lutte : Mamadou Seydou Barry, entraîneur de l'écurie Wakhinane, suspendu 6 six mois
A major blow for the Wakhinane wrestling stable. Its coach, Mamadou Seydou Barry, has been handed a six-month suspension by the Regulations and Disciplinary Commission (CRD) of the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL).
According to information relayed by Lutte TV, he is being sanctioned for threats and insults made against an FSL official.
The events took place on Saturday, October 10th, during a wrestling event organized by Badiane Productions. Mamadou Seydou Barry allegedly behaved inappropriately towards an official on duty, whom he insulted and threatened.
Summoned before the Regulations and Disciplinary Committee to answer for his actions, the coach denied the accusations. This stance contrasts with his previous exchanges with the referees' committee, during which he reportedly admitted to the facts.
During his hearing, the technician apologized and asked for leniency from the committee members. However, his regrets were not enough to prevent disciplinary action.
After reviewing the case, the CRD decided to impose a six-month suspension. To justify its decision, it considered that the alleged actions "constitute a breach of current regulations and reflect behavior incompatible with the obligations of discipline and respect to which sports coaches are subject."
This decision is a serious blow to the Wakhinane wrestling stable, which will have to do without its coach for the next six months, in connection with the activities covered by the sanction. This absence is likely to disrupt the training and coaching of its wrestlers.
