Manchester United : Erik ten Hag dénonce une «culture toxique»
Sacked by Manchester United in October 2024, Erik ten Hag has spoken out about the English club's difficulties, pointing the finger at the management of the executives and the behavior of some players.
In an interview with "The Athletic," the Dutch manager believes the board fosters a "toxic culture" by giving too much power to the players. He specifically cites Marcus Rashford, whom he considers talented, but whose performances, in his opinion, depend on his state of mind.
Ten Hag claims to have always trusted the English striker, while stressing the need to impose rules and take corrective action when necessary.
The former Red Devils manager also expressed regret at having had to play the role of "enforcer" to enforce his demands. These statements have reignited the debate surrounding discipline and management issues within the Manchester club.
