Mbappé assume : «Il n’y a pas eu de meilleur joueur que moi»
Kylian Mbappé is not lacking in confidence when discussing the race for the 2026 Ballon d'Or. At 27 years old, the Real Madrid striker, who has scored four goals in as many Liga matches this season, believes he has strong arguments to win the prestigious individual award.
In an interview with France Football, the French international openly stated his ambition. While some observers point out the absence of a major team trophy in his record, Mbappé reminds everyone that the Ballon d'Or remains, above all, an individual award.
"Do I have arguments to win it? Of course. People say I haven't won a trophy. But it's an individual trophy. I've never seen a Ballon d'Or awarded unanimously," he said.
To bolster his candidacy, the Frenchman notably highlights his performances on the international stage. "Being the all-time top scorer in World Cup history, surpassing all the legends of history, in the most important tournament that sport has ever created, it's breathtaking," asserts the former Paris Saint-Germain player. "There has never been a better player than me," he affirms.
