Mercato : Doué va s’engager avec le Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen are on the verge of finalizing the signing of Guéla Doué. The German club have reached an agreement with Strasbourg for the transfer of the Ivorian defender, who is expected to continue his career in the Bundesliga this season.
At 23, the right-back, who can also play in other defensive positions, is about to take the next step in his career. According to information published by Fabrizio Romano on Monday, Strasbourg and Leverkusen have agreed on a deal worth approximately €37.5 million, including bonuses.
The Ivory Coast international has reportedly reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen regarding the terms of his future contract. Strasbourg has also given him the green light to travel to Germany, where he is scheduled to undergo a medical examination prior to the official signing.
Having arrived in Alsace in 2024 from Rennes for around 6 million euros, Guéla Doué should therefore allow Racing to make a significant capital gain.
After just one season at the club, the defender is preparing to discover a new league and join an ambitious German team.
