Mercato : le PSG et Aston Villa proches d’un accord pour Ibrahim Mbaye
Ibrahim Mbaye's transfer to the Premier League is becoming increasingly likely. The 18-year-old Senegalese striker is now reportedly very close to leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to join Aston Villa during this summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, the two clubs have reached an agreement in principle on a deal estimated at €55 million. Negotiations have therefore entered their final phase, with several administrative details still to be finalized before the transfer is completed.
Having made 30 appearances and scored 3 goals in all competitions during the 2025-2026 season, Ibrahim Mbaye has gradually become an important player for the Parisian club. His performances and potential have also attracted the attention of several European clubs, notably Liverpool, who inquired about his situation this summer.
But it is ultimately Aston Villa who seem to have taken the lead in this matter. The English club has reportedly convinced PSG with a substantial offer, while also proposing a project focused on the young Senegalese international's development and integration into the English league.
The good relationship between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of PSG, and Nassef Sawiris, co-owner of Aston Villa, also reportedly helped to facilitate discussions between the two clubs.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Ibrahim Mbaye is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Aston Villa. This marks a significant new chapter for the young African champion, who is about to experience the Premier League.
