Mercato : Manchester City s’offre Enzo Fernandez pour 140 M€
Manchester City have made a major splash in the transfer market. The Citizens have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Enzo Fernandez, according to TyC Sports. The transfer fee is estimated at €140 million.
Determined to bolster their midfield after Rodri's departure, Manchester United initially made a €120 million offer. This offer was immediately rejected by Chelsea, who demanded more to let their Argentinian international leave.
Faced with this demand, Manchester City eventually raised their offer to €140 million. This sum reportedly convinced the London club's management to part with their midfielder. For his part, Enzo Fernandez has already agreed to join the Sky Blues.
At 25, the former Benfica player is thus preparing to take a new step in his career and join the squad managed by Enzo Maresca.
The Argentine midfielder is expected to sign a long-term contract with Manchester City, running until June 2032. If the deal goes through, this transfer will make Enzo Fernandez one of the biggest signings of this transfer window.
