Mercato : Manchester United officialise l'arrivée de Youri Tielemans
Manchester United continues its summer transfer activity with a significant reinforcement in midfield. The English club officially announced on Tuesday the signing of Belgian international Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
To convince Villa to part with their 29-year-old midfielder, the Red Devils triggered his release clause estimated at 41 million euros.
Having made 25 Premier League appearances during the 2025-2026 season, Tielemans has established himself as one of the most consistent players in the English league.
The Belgian, of Congolese origin, has signed with Manchester United for a period of five years, until June 2031. His arrival should bring more experience, technical quality and control to the midfield of the Manchester team.
Youri Tielemans also remains in the memories of Senegalese supporters after his decisive role in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. Scoring a brace against the Lions, he largely contributed to Belgium's qualification at the end of a spectacular match.
With this signing, Man U is clearly showing its ambitions by strengthening a key area of its squad before the start of the new season.
