Mondial U15 : l’Espagne entre dans l’histoire, Abdoulaye Diallo termine meilleur buteur
Spain has added its name to the list of winners of the first edition of the U15 World Cup. The young Spaniards lifted the trophy this Friday in Baku, defeating the Czech Republic (3-0) in the final.
Composed of young talents from Real Madrid, Real Betis, and other Spanish youth academies, the Spanish national team dominated the competition. In the final, the Spaniards gave the Czechs no chance. Tiago Polo, a Betis player, opened the scoring in the 12th minute, before Bruno Fernandes, also a Betis player, doubled the lead in the 24th minute. Adrian Bielsa, a product of La Fabrica, Real Madrid's youth academy, sealed the Spanish victory in the 31st minute.
With this victory, Spain becomes the first nation to win this new competition. They finish their run with an impressive record of nine wins and one draw in ten matches.
Despite Spain's victory, Senegal also leaves Baku with an individual accolade. The Young Lions' striker, Abdoulaye Diallo, finished as the tournament's top scorer with a remarkable total of 23 goals in ten matches.
