Ndioum : après les violences du quart de finale départemental , Yakar et Diamel disqualifiés
The violence that erupted during the departmental quarter-final match between ASC Yakar and ASC Diamel in Ndioum, Podor department, has resulted in its first disciplinary action. The competent commission of the Podor ODCAV (Office for the Development of Community Activities) has decided to disqualify both teams from the competition.
The match, played on October 2nd at the Colonel Mamadou Oumar Sy Stadium in Ndioum, was marred by a brawl between players from both teams. According to reports reviewed by the commission, the incident began after a Diamel player threw something into Yakar's goal, sparking an altercation between the players.
The tension then spread to the stands, with stones being thrown by supporters of both teams. This created significant insecurity on and around the pitch, preventing the match from continuing.
Following these incidents, the CQRP rendered its decision. ASC Yakar and ASC Diamel are both disqualified from the competition, with each team forfeiting one match.
The commission also handed down one-year suspensions to several players from both teams. For ASC Yakar, those affected are Cheikh OT, Thierno MS, Mor.S and Amadou.D.
For ASC Diamel, the sanctioned players are Alassane.S, Oumar MS and Ibrahima T., also suspended for a period of one year.
On the financial side, a fine of 300,000 FCFA was imposed on each of the two teams, which must be paid in full before their next official match.
This decision comes after a match in Ndioum that degenerated into violence, turning a football game into a scene of violence that led to the game being stopped.
