OGC Nice : Roger Ricort prend la défense de Yéhvann Diouf
Criticized after OGC Nice's 2-1 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday in Ligue 1, Yéhvann Diouf can count on the support of the club's management. The Eagles' sporting director, Roger Ricort, was keen to defend the Senegalese goalkeeper, calling for greater solidarity around him.
The defeat against Lyon reignited criticism of the former Stade de Reims goalkeeper, deemed responsible for both goals conceded. This situation did not sit well with Roger Ricort, who was keen to protect his player from negative comments in the media and on social networks.

The Nice manager denounced what he considers a vendetta against the 26-year-old goalkeeper and insisted on the need to preserve team unity. He also warned against potential booing from the crowd towards Diouf during the home warm-up. For Ricort, solidarity must prevail within the squad, without any distinction between players.
He also believes that the Gym's ambitions necessarily depend on the performances of its last line of defense.
Yehvann Diouf had, however, contributed to Nice's victories against Lille (2-1) and Strasbourg (2-1). Performances that the club's management also intends to take into account when defending their goalkeeper.
