Opéré de l’appendicite : Bara Sapoko Ndiaye absent pour la fenêtre de novembre ?
The countdown has begun for Bara Sapoko Ndiaye. Suffering from appendicitis that required surgery, the young Senegalese midfielder for Bayern Munich is expected to be sidelined for just under three weeks. This absence could jeopardize his participation in the upcoming international break with the Lions of Teranga.
The absence of Bara Sapoko Ndiaye during Bayern Munich's resounding 6-1 victory against Magdeburg on Wednesday in the German Cup has now been explained. According to the German press, the young Senegalese player underwent an appendectomy, preventing him from participating in this second-round match.
This setback adds to the physical difficulties faced by the Bavarian club. Bayern has suffered several injuries during the month, while its coach, Vincent Kompany, also had to temporarily step away from the bench after being diagnosed with meningeal irritation.
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is expected to return in mid-November. Until then, the midfielder is likely to miss several important matches, including the Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund and the Champions League clash against Atlético Madrid.
But it's the player's situation with the national team that's raising the most questions. Senegal is scheduled to play two matches against Sudan during the upcoming November international window. If his recovery continues, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye could miss both games with the Lions.
His progress in the coming days will therefore be crucial in determining his chances of returning to the national team in time.
