Plainte d’Oumar Sow : Les avocats de Mouhamed Dieng réagissent
The lawyers representing businessman Mouhamed Dieng have responded to the complaint filed by Oumar Sow, president of the And-Marchons ensemble Movement, against their client before the investigating judge of the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court for insults and threats.
In a statement released on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Mouhamed Dieng's lawyers denounced a "media trial" and called on Oumar Sow to present evidence of his accusations to the competent judicial authorities. They further alleged that Oumar Sow had requested financial support for political activities from their client.
According to this group, their request was not granted. This refusal was then allegedly followed by defamatory remarks about Mouhamed Dieng on a local television channel. "These circumstances do not justify the media trial being waged against Mr. Mouhamed Dieng," argue the lawyers, who believe the dispute should be resolved through the courts rather than in the public arena.
The group asserts that Mr. Dieng intends to defend his rights and reputation through legal channels. He affirms that he will not yield to any pressure and will reserve his response for the appropriate judicial authorities.
