Premier League : Le joueur franco-sénégalais Robinio Vaz victime d’insultes racistes
Robinio Vaz, the AS Roma player on loan to Hull City with an option to buy, was subjected to racist abuse just two days after joining the Tigers. These insults flooded the comments section of the English club's social media accounts.
"A zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discrimination"
In a statement, the newly promoted Premier League club strongly condemned these attacks against the player who was trained at FC Sochaux Montbéliard.
"We strongly condemn the hateful racist abuse directed at our new signing. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discrimination," the English club's management stated in the note.
They also indicate that contacts have been made with the Premier League, the anti-discrimination association "Kick It Out" and the social media platforms where the racist insults were uttered.
The aim is to identify, in collaboration with the police and the relevant authorities, the accounts responsible for "these hateful insults so that measures can be taken against them".
The 19-year-old French-Senegalese player could play his first Premier League match this Saturday against Aston Villa.
