Premier League : Liverpool encore accroché à Anfield par Nottingham Forest
Liverpool still can't get it right. After conceding a spectacular draw against Newcastle (2-2) on the first day, the Reds were once again held to a draw by Nottingham Forest (2-2), this Saturday at Anfield, at the end of a match full of twists and turns.
Liverpool, however, had to chase the game from the first half. The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute through Ndoye, putting Andoni Iraola's men under pressure in front of their home crowd.
After the break, the Reds responded quickly. Isak leveled the score in the 60th minute, giving the Anfield crowd renewed hope. But Nottingham Forest refused to give up and regained the lead ten minutes later through a penalty converted by Gibbs-White (70th minute).
Just when Liverpool looked destined for defeat, the home side found the strength to get back into the game. Munoz equalized in the 82nd minute, allowing the Reds to snatch a valuable point.
With this second consecutive draw by the same scoreline, Liverpool have had a sluggish start to the season. With only 2 points, the club currently sits in 10th place in the Premier League, far from the ambitions they declared at the beginning of the season.
