Amidst allegations of match-fixing against Manchester City, Enzo Maresca's men traveled to Liverpool on Sunday for the clash of the 6th round of the Premier League. Despite the hostility of the Anfield crowd, the Citizens comfortably defeated the Reds (0-3).

After a closely contested first half, Erling Haaland broke the deadlock by opening the scoring in the 65th minute. Three minutes earlier, Liverpool had been reduced to ten men after Gravenberch was sent off (62nd minute), a blow for Van Dijk and his teammates.

Manchester City took advantage of their numerical superiority to extend their lead. In the 68th minute, Jérémy Doku scored the Citizens' second goal, before Rayan Cherki definitively sealed the match by scoring the third goal in the 78th minute.

Thanks to this convincing victory, Manchester City made a big statement and ended Liverpool's momentum, who had been on two consecutive wins.

Izo Sarr a raté ce duel ! C'est dommage. Et chapeau à Elimane.
