Despite their spectacular 4-2 victory over FC Barcelona in the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain are concerned about the fitness of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian winger left the field injured after a heavy collision with young defender Xavi Espart.
A starter in this match, the former Napoli player had to leave the field shortly before the hour mark. Visibly in great pain, he was unable to even put his foot on the ground, causing serious concern in the Paris camp.
According to L'Équipe, initial tests conducted after the match suggest a possible rupture of the cruciate ligaments in the knee. This is a particularly worrying possibility for PSG, even though no definitive diagnosis has yet been made.
The capital club is now awaiting the results of further examinations to determine the exact nature of the injury and assess the length of time its striker will be unavailable.
