Qualification Ligue des champions féminine : Les Aigles de la Médina filent en demi-finales
After a difficult start that ended in defeat, the Eagles of Medina responded perfectly. The Senegalese club won this Monday against Determine Girls of Liberia (1-0), thus securing their qualification for the semi-finals of the CAF Women's Champions League qualifying tournament, in the WAFU/A zone.
After a hard-fought battle, the match ultimately swung in favor of the Senegalese representatives thanks to Aïssatou Fall. The striker scored the only goal of the game, securing a precious and decisive victory for the Medina team.
After their defeat in their opening match against USFAS of Mali (1-0), the Eagles of Medina desperately needed to bounce back to stay in contention. They did just that and now continue their journey in the competition with the ambition of securing a coveted spot in the final phase of the CAF Women's Champions League.
Having qualified for the final four, the Senegalese women are now only two matches away from a major objective: to win the qualifying tournament of the WAFU/A zone and secure the sole qualifying ticket for the final phase of the continental competition.
