Sénégal-Norvège : Gris Bordeaux cash avec Pape Thiaw
Ahead of tonight's match against Norway (00 hours GMT), for the second day of group 1 of the 2026 World Cup, the wrestler from Fass gives the keys to the match to the coach of Senegal in comments relayed by Le Soleil des Sports.
“This match won’t be easy for Senegal. Senegal has always made the difference by relying on its teamwork. To beat Norway, you have to put the right players in the right positions. Against France, some players weren’t at their peak physical condition. The Lions managed the game well at the start, but they couldn’t maintain the same pace until the end. The intensity was too high, and they couldn’t keep up. Some of our players eventually succumbed due to physical limitations, and the coach didn’t make the substitutions in time.”
“Against Norway, we’ll need to be very realistic. I admire Ismaila Sarr, but he sometimes lacks character in big games. He often disappoints when expectations are high. He needs to be mentally stronger to perform well in crucial moments like this match against Norway. He’s in great physical shape, but he’ll need to show more in Tuesday’s game and take charge.”
“We encourage our Lions and hope they are ready to do whatever it takes to beat Norway. Players like Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Idrissa Gana Guèye, given their age, shouldn't play the full 90 minutes. We expect the substitutions to be made in time. Players like Ibrahim Mbaye and Iliman Ndiaye will need to be used.”
