« Si tu joues pour Mourinho, tu veux mourir pour lui » : Le coach Portugais réagit aux propos de Yan Diomandé
Clearly, there's already a good rapport between José Mourinho and Real Madrid's new signing, Yan Diomandé. In a recent interview with Sporty TV, the Ivory Coast international stated that he holds the Portuguese coach in high esteem and that he would die for him on the pitch.
"If you play for Mourinho, you want to die for Mourinho. Everyone wants to die for him. We are ready to die for him," the 19-year-old winger suggested.
"It's an expression, but an expression I like."
In the pre-match press conference yesterday, Friday, the Spanish coach commented on Diomandé's remarks.
"It's an expression, an expression I like; but I would like even more for him to sacrifice himself for the group, for Real Madrid. But I understand what he means by that, in relation to the team and the club, when he mentions my name," the Portuguese coach said before putting things into perspective.
"Diomandé's message applies to everyone."
“Words are easy, actions are the hardest thing. Diomandé’s words are no different from what I see in everyone. I see very committed players, I see people with a great mentality to do things right. I see a group that is progressing and united. We are not a perfect group, that doesn’t exist. But fundamentally, the group is solid. Diomandé’s message applies to everyone,” said José Mourinho.
