Un robot humanoïde bat le record du 100 mètres d’Usain Bolt
During a preliminary race at the World Humanoid Robot Games, the robot "Tiangong Ultra" stopped the clock at 9.39 seconds.
A humanoid robot covered 100 meters in just 9.39 seconds during a preliminary race at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, beating Jamaican Usain Bolt's world record of 9.58 seconds.

The show's star team, "Tiangong Ultra", triumphed over its rivals in a series of eliminations that took place during the opening of the second edition of this competition, which was held this Saturday in the Chinese capital, according to local media.
The robot, belonging to the Tianzhuo team, crossed the finish line first with a one-body advantage, surpassing not only the 9.58 seconds set by athlete Bolt at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, but also his own mark of 21.50 seconds, with which he had set the record from the previous edition of the games.

In the same series, we found the "Shandian" robots (lightning in Mandarin), from the technology company Honor, which qualified second with 9.47 seconds, and that of the Chinese company Unitree — the robotics company which went public this Wednesday —, third with 12.41 seconds.
Videos shared on social media and Chinese media show how, after the starting gun, the three humanoid robots took off and how "Tiangong" stayed neck and neck with "Shandian" for most of the race, even though it managed to overtake it.
Beijing inaugurated the second edition of the World Humanoid Robot Games on Saturday, which brings together 666 teams and 2,056 machines, including 25 foreign teams, as part of an expanded program aimed at testing both their sporting abilities and their aptitude to perform concrete tasks.
The competition, which runs until Wednesday on the national speed skating track, nicknamed "the Ice Ribbon," comprises 51 events and 1,301 matches or competitive sessions. These include disciplines such as athletics, football, and martial arts, as well as more complex motorsports like table tennis, wrestling, and weightlifting.
Last April, robots already surpassed humans in the Beijing half marathon, where "Shandian" won with a time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds, exceeding the human world record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds, although in incomparable conditions.
