MSGBC 2026 : une Data Room pour présenter les données sismiques et les blocs aux investisseurs
The MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2026 conference will launch the MSGBC Data Room, a technical platform designed to connect investors and project developers with upstream exploration and production opportunities in West Africa. It will be inaugurated on December 3rd on the main stage of the strategic conference in Dakar. Participants will have direct access to detailed data on onshore and offshore exploration blocks, the geological characteristics of sedimentary basins, and partnership opportunities.
The launch of this Data Room comes as exploration and development activities generate new data in one of West Africa's most closely monitored oil regions. Producing assets, enriched seismic data libraries, and evolving portfolios of national oil companies provide investors with more information to assess the potential of the blocks. At the same time, governments continue to open their oil and gas resources to investment and partnerships.
Recent seismic surveys illustrate the vast amount of data now available. Launched in December 2025 by TGS, the Mauritania MegaSurvey covers more than 101,500 km² of new and reprocessed 3D seismic data. Meanwhile, the 3D Jaan volume, covering 28,300 km² off the coasts of Senegal, The Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau, allows companies to assess exploration potential beyond national borders. In Guinea-Conakry, the National Seismic Data Visualization Center, established with SLB and TGS, compiles approximately 15,000 km² of 3D data and 45,000 km² of 2D data.
The Data Room will bring together these datasets along with information on licenses and projects. The goal is to enable investors, technical service companies, national oil companies, and project developers to engage in discussions based on more comprehensive information. MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2026 will be held from December 1st to 3rd in Dakar.
