Air Senegal: Social dialogue at the heart of the General Management's strategy

Air Senegal SA places social dialogue at the forefront of its priorities to support its recovery. Meeting in Saly, the members of the Social Dialogue Committee began a training session this Wednesday aimed at strengthening their skills in negotiation, conflict prevention, and mastery of the Labor Code.

Presiding over the opening ceremony, the Managing Director, Tidiane Ndiaye, emphasized the need to prioritize dialogue to prevent misunderstandings between employees and management. He commended the commitment of the Committee members, stating that a harmonious work environment is essential for the company to achieve its goals.

"No organization can sustainably achieve its objectives without a stable, harmonious and collaborative work environment," he said, noting that the creation of the Committee reflects a shared desire to build a more efficient company through ongoing dialogue.

For Aliou Mbaye, Chairman of the Social Dialogue Committee, this initiative goes beyond mere regulatory compliance. According to him, social dialogue is a genuine driver of performance, stability, and progress. The training will enable participants to improve their negotiation skills, better prevent conflicts, and contribute to establishing a climate of trust conducive to the development of Air Sénégal SA.

The staff representatives also expressed their satisfaction. Ibrahima Mamadou Diaw praised the Managing Director's personal involvement in finding solutions to workers' concerns, specifically mentioning the steps taken with partners to advance several social issues. He considered this approach "unprecedented in the company's recent history."

His colleague, Ndiaga Fawade Sarr, shares this conviction. For him, a return to a peaceful social climate is one of the main assets enabling Air Senegal to embark on a new phase of its development and successfully relaunch.
