Achat de ticket et recharge d’abonnement : Sonatel et Dakar Mobilité signent un partenariat au profit des voyageurs
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) passengers can now purchase their tickets via the Max it app, eliminating the need to wait at ticket counters. Sonatel and Dakar Dakar Mobilité (Sunu BRT) have signed a partnership agreement to benefit their customers. The official ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Sunu BRT headquarters in Gadaye (Guédiawaye), in the presence of Mr. Brelotte Ba, CEO of the Sonatel Group; Mr. Youssoupha Sall, Director of Orange Mobile Finances Senegal; and Mr. Cheikh Yatt Diouf, CEO of Dakar Mobilité.
A promising partnership with numerous advantages
This strategic partnership between Sonatel and Dakar Mobilité is a long-term commitment offering opportunities for their respective customers. It addresses three key needs for travelers. They can now purchase their BRT travel pass through the Max it app. They can also top up their BRT pass and travel card via the same app, anytime and without delay.
Through this agreement, Dakar Mobilité offers Sonatel the opportunity to display Orange and Orange Money branding on BRT buses. This partnership also allows the mobile operator to maintain a regular presence inside BRT buses through connectivity solutions that will enable passengers to travel in comfort with Orange connectivity.
"The vision is to enable customers to have digital experiences in their daily lives."
For the CEO of the Sonatel Group, this partnership will allow spectators, athletes, and others to use the BRT with a seamless digital experience. "It's truly a great example of what we can produce that is both good and beautiful when we join forces. The vision is to enable customers to have everyday digital experiences that have a considerable impact," said Mr. Brelotte Ba.
“Orange has become part of Dakar Mobilité.”
The Director General of Dakar Mobility, for his part, maintained that with all the projects developed, Sonatel has become an integral part of Dakar Mobility. "As part of the project's deployment activities, Sonatel has been a significant player for Dakar Mobility. We have IT infrastructure for which Sonatel was the supplier. You supported us during the mobilization and development phases of this project. Today, our infrastructure is operating with such high performance because we have digital tools provided by Sonatel, which allow us to deliver this quality service to the Senegalese people every day. With all these projects developed, Orange has become an integral part of Dakar Mobility," emphasized Mr. Cheikh Yatt Diouf, in the presence of his colleagues.
He adds: “I think that the partnership we have just concluded to allow BRT customers to buy their travel tickets via Max it, and to also top up their season tickets and travel cards via this application, will allow us to strengthen this level of digitalization; and perhaps even influence trends. Orange remains a partner of choice to support this digitalization; and therefore, we are delighted to be able to conclude this partnership today.”
According to Mr. Diouf, the BRT is intended to be a virtuous project in terms of digitalization. That is why his company gives absolute priority to this, and to ensure that the way we travel is transformed for the benefit of our customers.
Finally, the CEO of Dakar Mobilité pledged to make every effort to ensure that this promising partnership can last in the interest of all parties.
